The show consists of a representative from each of the 36 states of Nigeria competing to win the crown and the title as the Most beautiful girl In Nigeria. Each competitor must be able to represent their state as best as they can through a variety of genres where they are judged by a panel in each criteria. The successful top 5; MBGN World, MBGN Universe, MBGN Tourism, MBGN Ecowas and NBGN Model are given optimum exposure through the top international pageants to represent Nigeria.

1ST RUNNER UP, MBGN UNIVERSE
*To represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe beauty pageant.

2ND RUNNER UP, MBGN ECOWAS
*To represent Nigeria at the Miss Ecowas beauty pageant.

3RD RUNNER UP, MBGN TOURISM
* To represent Nigeria at the Miss Tourism International beauty pageant.

4th RUNNER UP, MBGN MODEL
* To represent Nigeria at an International model competition
The total prize money to be won is N5 million. The winner of this pageant will go on to compete in other international pageants namely Miss World and Miss Universe and are given the opportunity to represent Nigeria to the rest of the world. Miss Agbani Derogos, former Miss Nigeria in 2001 went on to win the Miss World pageant in 2001 and has brought great recognition and pride to our country Nigeria.
